All Star Events is owned and operated by All Star Sports. We are in our 11th year of providing baseball & softball services to the youth of the Central Valley. Many of our athletes have received athletic scholarships from having been seen by college coaches at our events or events that we attend. The Stockton community has been greatly enriched by the efforts of these athletes. That is why when we saw the opportunity to serve our community again by managing Billy Hebert Field, we jumped at the opportunity. Billy Hebert field has significant historical value and we intend on providing a great venue for the youth of our community to attend sporting and social events.
In 1950, the ballpark was named for Billy Hebert, who learned to play baseball in the city recreation department's boys' league and played with the Junior Legion for Karl Ross Post. Hebert was a scrappy second baseman in the minor leagues before, at 22, he was killed in the Solomon Islands in 1942 during World War II. He was the nation's first professional ballplayer killed in action.
